Instructions

Prepare the Chicken Patties:

  1. - In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken mince, white pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  2. - Shape the mixture into round patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  3. - Place the patties on a tray lined with parchment paper and freeze them for 30 minutes to 1 hour. This helps them hold their shape while frying.
  4. - In another bowl, mix together 2 cups of plain flour, white pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, baking soda, and salt.- Remove the patties from the freezer and coat each one in the plain flour mixture.
  5. - Gradually add sparkling water to the same flour mixture, stirring until you have a thin, runny batter.
  6. - Dredge the coated patties in the batter, making sure they are well covered.
  7. - Heat oil in a wok or deep frying pan over medium heat.
  8. - Carefully place the battered patties in the hot oil and fry for about 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. The internal temperature should reach 165°C (75°C).

Prepare the Fries:

  1. - Peel the potatoes and cut them into fry shapes using a crinkle cutter.
  2. - Rinse the cut potatoes thoroughly under cold water to remove excess starch, then pat them dry.
  3. - Fry the potatoes in hot oil until they are crispy. Remove them, let them cool slightly, and then fry again until golden brown and completely cooked.

Make the Mayonnaise Mixture:

  1. - In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, salt, onion powder, and mustard powder. Mix well.

Assembling the Burger:

  1. - Heat a pan and melt a bit of butter in it. Place the burger buns cut-side down in the pan and toast until golden brown.
  2. - Start with the bottom bun. Spread a layer of the mayo mixture on it.
  3. - Add a layer of shredded lettuce , then place the fried chicken patty on top.
  4. - Spread more mayo on the patty, and then add the top bun.
  5. - Serve the homemade McChicken burger with crispy fries and ketchup on the side.
