Ingredients
  • 250 g sliced chicken thighs
  • 150 g green beans, cleaned and ends cut
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp chopped ginger
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp chilli sambal
  • 1 tbsp black bean sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 1/4 cup water
Instructions
  1. 1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chopped garlic and ginger, and sauté until fragrant.
  2. 2. Add chilli sambal to the pan and cook for a few seconds until the raw flavor is gone.
  3. 3. Add thinly sliced chicken thighs to the pan and cook until the color changes and the chicken is cooked through.
  4. 4. Cut the ends off green beans and add them to the chicken along with sliced onion. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until onions are softened and beans slightly crisp.
  5. 5. In a small bowl, mix together black bean sauce, oyster sauce, soya sauce, brown sugar, white pepper, cornflour, and water until well combined.
  6. 6. Pour the sauce mixture into the pan with the chicken and vegetables. Cook on medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and the chicken is fully cooked.
  7. 7. Serve the string bean chicken hot over steamed rice or noodles. Enjoy your delicious meal!
